Marsha Skidmore
Director of Contemporary Worship

Marsha Skidmore, Director of Contemporary Worship, incorporates the blending of hymns and sacred music with the new songs of this generation, believing that all styles of music can bring glory to God and draw peopleʼs hearts closer to Him in worship. She also takes great joy in leading our own “FPeeps Childrenʼs Choir” at special times during the year. Marsha has been in music ministry for most of her life. A gifted soloist, songwriter and worship leader, Marsha has traveled the world with the Tommy Coomes Band supporting the ministries of the Billy Graham Evangelical Association and Samaritanʼs Purse International Relief Organization (also known for their “Operation Christmas Child” shoebox ministry). Marsha still has opportunity throughout the year to travel with the band sharing in evangelistic events around the world. With the many gifted musicians and singers here at First Presbyterian, her place is always filled with one of our own talented musicians when she is away serving. Her voice can be heard on numerous recordings, most recently with Fernando Ortega and Tommy Walker. Her songwriting includes a theme song and vocal recording “Where Does My Help Come From” for World Vision International and their Children in Crisis sponsorship ministry.
