Small group Bible studies became a big part of Kendra’s life and growth with Christ through her involvement with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship as a student at Fresno State. Since college, Kendra and her husband, Bob, have served on staff with InterVarsity — most of her time having been spent on small group leadership, training and mentoring. They have been in Bakersfield and at First Pres for over 20 years; and have three daughters: Aubrey, Kelsey and Eliza.
Kendra loves her volunteer role at First Pres! Her desire is to see more people connect with God in life-transforming ways through His Word and through fellowship with one another. She is convinced that small groups are one of the best places to accomplish that – that’s why we call them Connect Groups!!!
